“Base Camp” for me has always been in east central Alberta, where I grew up. I have many fond memories of fishing with my Dad, spending time at Grandfathers farm, and mountain biking through the prairie trails with my friends. It was these experiences that gave me a love for the outdoors, and a sense of wide-eyed adventure that made me want to explore the world. I began Guiding during the summers of University, and graduated with a Bachelors Degree, streaming in Outdoor Education. I have enjoyed doing many trips and expeditions via canoe, hiking and sailing. No matter where these trips have taken me, the highlights have been through shared experiences with others. The “rawness” of community in the natural world makes these trips truly special!

Year round, I have enjoyed work in ranching, carpentry, and most recently in electrical and solar pv installation. I also have a part time gig as a musician – this year launching a new project as a solo country artist and playing with a new band. I’ve been spending lots of time giging and song-writing! I am still living the Alberta prairie life most of the year – I have plenty of great hunting tales to tell from this fall. Looking forward to the Winter where I love taking trips to the mountains and skiing on our local cross-country trails.
