Our Guides

Lars Hartling

My mom and dad first bundled me up and took me down the Nahanni on a family trip when I was two. There have been many rivers after that. All of the big ones. So I guess it’s in my genes.

When I am not canoeing or rafting, I enjoy ww kayaking, which has taken me as far as Nepal and the Grand Canyon. Winter is ski season and I enjoy back country as well as our great trails in Whitehorse.

Guide Gossip

Fall 2013

This summer I took off from guiding to pursue my carpentry work. I renovated a house in Whitehorse into a four-plex. The project was completed on time so now I am enjoying some r&r, deciding between a late season grand canyon trip or a ski trip.

Spring 2013

After another great season on the Nahanni, I went to the Yukon for a fantastic Tatshenshini trip. In Whitehorse I spent September working in the warehouse, cleaning up from the season. Now I am building houses, working on my Carpentry apprenticeship. My girlfriend Paige is here in Whitehorse with me. We have great snow here so winter will involve lot’s of skiing.
