In the fifty years since we began sharing Canadian wilderness rivers with guests from around the world, our community has grown to encompass thousands of curious, adventurous humans searching to reconnect with intact ecosystems – and to each other!
This connection has also resulted in some incredible conservation victories. Some examples are the establishment of Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park in the 1990s, the expansion of Nahanni National Park Reserve, the founding of Náátsʼihchʼoh National Park Reserve, and most recently the designation and protection of the Seven Sacred Rivers of the Peel Watershed as a wilderness area!
To see this work continue to grow, we are excited to see Nahanni River Adventures and Canadian River Expeditions join the 1% for the Planet family of companies.
This will mean that 1% of our revenues will be certified as having been directed towards conservation initiatives and ensuring that the hard fought conservation efforts of previous generations stand, and also that those who continue to advocate for the conservation of our irreplaceable wild areas will have the resources and tools for their crucial work!
