My name is Thomas Blenkhorn, and I hail from Sherbrooke, Quebec. The Eastern Townships are perfect for diving into the outdoors, with mountains and expansive lakes as my backyard playground. My adventure journey started when my mother signed me up for what she thought was a street biking camp, only to find out it was a mountain biking camp. I came home covered in mud and with a new passion ignited.
Biking has since taken me all over, but the smaller mountains of the East eventually led me to the vast, rugged landscapes of Western Canada. Here, I discovered even more than mountain biking. My drive for adventure soon brought me to Thompson Rivers University (TRU), where I enrolled in the Adventure Studies Program, initially set on becoming a ski guide. But as part of the curriculum, I had to try a whitewater course, which was love at first paddle.
From there, I shifted my focus from mountain sports to whitewater, diving deep into rafting and kayaking. The Whitewater community has become like a second family to me, and working alongside these passionate people is truly a blessing.
