Both Bobbi Rose Koe and Justine Wilmot have been honoured for their commitment to the natural world and to the next generation!
Bobbi Rose has been awarded the 2021 Canadian River Heritage Award. Previously known as the Bill Mason Award, the honour recognizes the invaluable efforts of an individual Canadian to celebrate, protect, and conserve Heritage Rivers for future generations! She was nominated for her involvement in protecting the Peel Watershed and for her current venture Dinjii Zhuh Adventures. As part of the award offered by the Canadian Heritage Rivers System in partnership with the Canadian Canoe Museum she will receive a hand carved paddle!
Justine, a Phys Ed. teacher in the off season, was selected by the Physical and Health Educators of Manitoba president Brian McMillan was awarded the Outdoor Education Award of Merit. This award is presented to an individual for their professional contribution in the promotion of outdoor education! Justine’s love of rivers and wild places is infectious and we can’t wait to see what she gets up to next!
