Nahanni River Adventures’ Bobbi Rose Koe and Joel Hibbard Win Arctic Inspiration Prize

We've been awarded the 2022 Arctic Inspiration Prize for our Indigenous Youth River Guide Training Program with Bobbi Rose Koe. This honor reinforces our dedication to Arctic youth and responsible tourism.

Over the years our team has won many awards for our expedition quality, our conservation efforts and our customer service but a recent accolade will stay close to our hearts.

We were part of a team awarded the 2022 Arctic Inspiration Prize to develop the Indigenous Youth River Guide Training Program with Gwich’in River Guide and Leader Bobbi Rose Koe.

Bobbi’s career has taken her across the Arctic and to see her build an instructional team, share her experience and lands with youth from the Western Arctic was a proud moment.

For me this award builds off our legacy and confirms we are heading in the right direction with our efforts to provide opportunities for the youth of the Arctic and to deepen our own understanding, connection and appreciation of their lands. We will continue on this journey with renewed energy as this is another step in shaping the future of tourism.

In the coming months we will be sharing more of the story through a documentary video of the training program and 2023 will see the graduates of the program join expeditions in the Deh Cho paddling the famed Naha Dehe (Nahanni River), to further their training with Bobbi Rose and the Nahanni River Adventures team.

We will see you on the water!
