Isaac Bunge

Hey! Do you happen to be looking me up because you found out that I’m your guide and all the photos of me on my dads facebook are from 10 years ago? Look no further!
My apologies if you’ve read a few of the bio’s on this page as you will have noticed that we all have eerily identical life stories. Regardless, here is mine: I started paddling very young; born in the winter my first trip was as soon as the ice melted in May. Once old enough to have my own opinions I amazingly still loved the outdoors and decided to make my parents proud by becoming a raft guide! Living in Québec my career started in the east with rafting on the Ottawa River and canoeing on the Coulonge, Noire, Dumoine, French, etc. Eventually I got lost far enough north that Joel found me and he gave me food so I decided to stay! After a few seasons of mowing the lawn I was deemed ready for the big leagues and I haven’t looked back since.
Whether it’s Rafting or Canoeing, a week long trip or a month long trip, the Nahanni or the Tatshenshini, I absolutely love this job. I love the people we meet, the sights we see and the memories we make. I can’t wait to share it with you!
Cheers,
Isaac
