Wood Bison in the Spotlight

Learn about the NWT's wood bison herds along the Nahanni from CBC Naturalist Brian Keating. This species-at-risk is coming back due to efforts to reintroduce populations to the territory.

This season we had CBC Naturalist Brian Keating come along an expedition starting from Virginia Falls and down along the Nahanni River. Wildlife is always a big part of northern experiences, and during our adventure we had sightings of wood bison—a threatened species in the NWT.
